Woodland Wellbeing Escape
A calming selection of activities set within an ancient woodland
Our Woodland Wellbeing Escape invites colleagues into an ancient, tranquil woodland to reconnect with nature and one another. In a calm, restorative setting, participants undertake personal challenges and collaborate on designed team tasks that build resilience, trust, and collective wellbeing.
Your Woodland Wellbeing Escape: What to Expect
Set within our private 7-acre woodland, your team will enjoy exclusive use of all facilities, creating a focused and immersive experience from start to finish.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by one of our dedicated outdoor activity instructors. As you settle in with complimentary drinks and snacks, your instructor will guide you through the day’s programme and ensure everyone feels prepared for the day.
Your Woodland Wellbeing Escape Programme
Your event includes five outdoor activities, each beginning with a clear briefing and a defined objective:
ARCHERY: Our archery range is in a tranquil setting. Under a parachute canopy which blends with the surrounding trees, and located next to a babbling brook. The session will cover an introduction, practice rounds, fun archery games and a scoring round.
ORIENTEERING: Explore the woodland on a network of paths whilst completing an orienteering course. The session starts with a quick lesson on map reading, and then you can set out on your own to find the controls hidden in the woodland.
PUZZLED IN THE WOODS: You can complete up to 7 problem-solving tasks set amongst the trees. Your instructor is there to guide you between tasks and offer lifelines should you require any assistance. You will have a combination of light physical and cognitive tasks.
FIRE & BREAD MAKING: Based in the bushcraft den, nestled within the woodland environment, this peaceful activity involves making your own campfire and freshly cooked bread. You will practice fire lighting skills using flint and steel, before making and cooking Bannock bread for you to savour around the fire.
SHELTER BUILDING: Imagine you were staying the night! Your group are required to build a shelter to keep themselves warm and dry. You will be given limited resources, and then you can use your imagination and resources found naturally in the woodland to create your perfect shelter.
Outdoor Elements uses a ‘challenge by choice’ philosophy, where instructors encourage participants to stretch their comfort zones through physical and cognitive challenges, but individuals are never forced into activities they are uncomfortable with.
Facilities & Refreshments
While most of your day will be spent outdoors, you’ll also have access to comfortable indoor facilities for breaks and refreshments. Complimentary drinks are available throughout your visit, and we offer a selection of breakfast and lunch catering options to keep your team fuelled and focused.
Short on Time?
If a full-day event doesn’t suit your schedule, we also offer 3 hour sessions available in the morning or afternoon. These shorter experiences provide a concentrated burst of fun and energy. Simply select your favourite three activities from the list above.
