Welly Walk at Outdoor Elements

The Legendary Outdoor Elements Welly Walk Adventure

Discover an imaginative adventure with a Welly Walk

Scrambling along the course of a gentle stream in Wellington boots is an experience immersed in nature, adventurous and great fun. Navigating around, across, under and over a series of natural obstacles like slippery rocks, low branches, bridges and balance beams, the odd fallen tree and even a cave! This exciting walk is pitched at children aged 5-9 years.

Why have a Welly Walk Adventure?

  • Fun! Excitement and adventure following a creative trail along our private woodland stream.
  • Brilliant way to connect with nature as the ravine flows through a stunning woodland environment.
  • Tailored sessions: suitable for children’s birthday parties and curriculum-linked education programmes.
  • Packed full of Experiential Learning.
  • Safe and Supervised: Our Welly Walk sessions are led by experienced instructors, with the support of accompanying adults.

What to Expect from a Welly Walk Adventure

The instructor will first ensure that everyone is kitted up and ready for a great adventure. Wellies are essential for all, including any accompanying adults, as the walk is mostly in the water that flows down the stream.

A safety brief will fully prepare the group for what is to come, including how to use the unique welly walking sticks!

It’s strictly follow the leader as we enter the stream and set off towards the first of many obstacles. The Log of Doom and the Gruffalo’s Cave are two classic encounters, and of course, watch out for the Crocodile Pool!

The activity is aimed at 5-9-year-olds and forms part of our outdoor education programmes, or is a fun activity for our younger birthday party visitors.

Add a Welly Walk to your next event!

Our Welly Walk is an exciting addition to:

  • Children’s birthday parties. A very memorable part of our Mini Explorers party (age 5-8 years)
  • The Great Outdoors curriculum-linked programme for KS1
